Description: On June 6, 1990, 2 Live Crew's “As Nasty As They Wanna Be” became the first record to be declared legally obscene after being banned in many parts of Florida. The rap group went after the government in court, losing when Federal District Judge Jose Gonzales made the ruling that the album violated community obscenity standards across Florida counties.
