Description: A common neon sign at inner-city churches and missions alike, this design includes the Jesus Saves typographic lock-up along with a crown and the initialism INRI (Latin: Iēsus Nazarēnus, Rēx Iūdaeōrum) which represents the Latin inscription from John 19:19 which in English translates to "Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews." I found a similar one at a thrift store in Seattle from one of the local missions once and it was like finding the holy grail. It became one of my favorite used pieces to hunt down, but they were few and far between then and near impossible nowadays to say the least, so mark this one as another classic that's come back from the dead.
Description: The Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign is a Las Vegas landmark funded in May 1959 and erected soon after by Western Neon. The sign was designed by Betty Willis at the request of Ted Rogich, a local salesman, who sold it to Clark County, Nevada. The sign is located in the median at 5100 Las Vegas Boulevard South, north of the historic stone pillars of the old McCarran Airport on the east side, and across from the Bali Hai Golf Club and the (closed) Klondike Hotel & Casino on the west side. Some consider the sign to be the official southern end of the Las Vegas Strip.
