Snowmobile Snow Mountains Pillows
Description: Based in Ogden, Utah, Thiokol’s namesake product was a stinky compound that clogged laboratory sinks and was resistant to any kind of solvent that turned out to be synthetic rubber used in solid-fuel rockets. Thiokol also built ski lifts as post WWII, it was a rush to build ski areas everywhere it snowed. As they strung up poles with pulleys and suspended chairs, they saw a clear need for a vehicle that could both shuttle staff, and groom trails at the same time, so before you know it, they were in the snowcat business. Thiokol Snowcat’s included the Imp, Super-Imp, and Spryte, as well as a heavy-duty version called the Juggernaut, a four-tracked design similar to the Tucker Sno-Cat that could accommodate heavy equipment like drilling rigs.
