GDSF 2015 - Old Tim Number of views as of 6th May 2018 = 390. Another shot from the 2015 Great Dorset Steam Fair at Tarrant Hinton, near Blandord, Dorset. Originally built in 1910 for Screen Bros of Oldbury, Birmingham, this Burrell steam-powered road locomotive and crane 'Old Tim' worked through two world wars hauling boilers, castings, broken-down tramcars and anything large! Black Five at Weybourne Number of views as of 18th December 2018 = 1680. The 'Poppy Line' (a.k.a the North Norfolk Railway) runs between Sheringham on the Norfolk coast to the town of Holt, a few miles inland. Class 5 locomotive number 44767 'George Stephenson' is shown here at Weybourne station. The Class 5 'mixed traffic' locomotive (better known as the Black Five) was introduced by William Stanier on the London, Midland and Scottish Railway in 1934. Over 800 were built between then and 1951. Members of the class survived to the last days of steam on British Railways in 1968 and eighteen are preserved, including the George Stephenson shown here. The Peerless Princess Tammy Number of views as of 22nd April 2019 = 1575. This Peerless Traction Engine 'Princess Tammy' was built in the USA in 1895 by the Geiser Manufacturing Company of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. This engine is believed to be the only one of its kind in the UK. Lovingly restored to full working order over the last 7 years by the current owner. Showman's Engines Number of views as of 1st April 2019 = 1400. A showman's engine or road locomotive is a steam-powered, road-going vehicle designed to provide power and transport for a travelling fair or circus. Similar to other steam-powered, traction engines, showman's engines have a number of distinguishing features including a full-length canopy, a dynamo mounted in front of the chimney, brightly coloured paintwork and ornate decorations. Many were also fitted with rows of electric lamps to enhance their appearance at night. The dynamo was used to generate electricity to illuminate and power various fairground rides. Side tank locomotive Metropolitan 1 visiting the Great Western Railway Centre at Didcot. This locomotive was built for the Metropolitan line and originally worked on both its overground and underground lines. In 2013 it once again hauled passengers between Olympia and Moorgate as part of the 150th anniversary of the London Underground railway.

The Dreadnought Number of views as of 28th May 2018 = 725. The Dreadnought is a Burrell Traction Engine, built in 1926 and delivered to I. Ball & Sons of Lancashire for sawing and threshing. Charles Burrell & Sons were builders of steam traction engines, agricultural machinery, steam trucks and steam tram engines. The company were based in Thetford, Norfolk but ceased trading in 1928. The Dreadnought is now owned by Breamore Countryside Museum, at Breamore House, near Fordingbridge in Hampshire. British Railways Standard Class 7 steam locomotive Britannia number 70000 arrives at Highley Station on the Severn Valley Railway. The Engineer is about to exchange the token with the Signalman that allows the train to run on the next section of single line track. The standard class 7 is also known as the Britannia Class as Britannia was the first engine of 55 in this class.

This design features a charming steam-powered train chugging along a set of tracks. The train is rendered in a soft pink color, with billowing clouds of steam coming out of its smokestack. The design captures the romance and nostalgia of train travel, while also incorporating a touch of whimsy with the pink color scheme. This design is perfect for train enthusiasts and anyone who appreciates the beauty of vintage transportation.

GDSF 2015 - Stanley Steam Car Number of views as of 16th April 2018 = 520. This Stanley EX, 10 horse-power steam car, built in 1907, is still capable of quite a turn of speed, and is seen here being put through its paces at the Great Dorset Steam Fair at Tarrant Hinton, near Blandford, Dorset, England. This car is one of only three in the United Kingdom and one of only 31 in the world. The Stanley Motor Carriage Company was based in Newton, Massachusetts in the United States and manufactured steam powered vehicles including this one between 1902 and 1924. The company was founded by twin brothers Francis and Freelan Stanley, who produced their first car in 1897. Date: 5th September 2015.

Great Western Railway pannier tank locomotive 3738. This locomotive, designed by Collett, is one of the 57xx class. It was built at the Great Western Railway works at Swindon in 1937 and saw service at Old Oak Common. After being sold for scrap, it was bought by the Great Western Society and now runs regularly at the Didcot Rail Centre, Oxfordshire.
