New Orleans Lanterns French Quarter - Colorful by Debra Martz I enjoyed an early morning walk on Bourbon Street and other French Quarter Streets nearby when there were no crowds. While on this stroll, I took pictures of my favorite signs and though this is not a sign, this shows the iconic lanterns found throughout much of the French Quarter. In Topaz software, I used several filters to enhance the lanterns by adding textures and bright colors.. This Antique streetlight is gorgeous!

A quaint, cozy scene portrays a white plastered house with a classic lantern hanging from an exterior wall. Subtle shadows create a sense of depth and time of day, while surrounding foliage and mountains add to the serene ambiance. A small painting in acrylics of old buildings in the highest street of Alboloduy. The old cottages and caves in La Alpujarra Almeriense are always located at the top of the villages, high above the pretty squares and grand houses at the bottom, but it is worth walking up the steep, narrow streets as I always find interesting subjects to paint at the top.

A cute winter story filled with comfort and positive feeling. For this work, I used bright, but not flashy colors - I tried to achieve the most pleasant soft picture. Of course, when creating this art, I took into account the festive Christmas mood. Oil, canvas. Varnished. Signed.

The lure of The Junk Shop near Perry Green in Essex, my daughter drawn towards a window display full of amazing treasures. I thought of Needful Things by Stephen King when creating this. HDR created from one RAW file processed as three DNG files in Photomatix, adjustments in CS6 with some help from Topaz Filters. Nikon D3100 with Sigma 10-20 zoom.
