Description: The Tea Rex Tea Room and gift shop is Jurassic Park's one and only coffee house serving gourmet teas, coffees and baked goods during park hours. In addition to over 100 teas from farmer direct to playful blends for you to choose from in a unique boutique setting, we provide tea workshops, events with local authors, tea talks as well as offer a specialty line of teas created just for dinosaur fans like ourselves. We work with some of the best, award winning bartenders and restaurants in Costa Rica, and provide blends for businesses including The Stubborn Stegosaurus Pub & Brewery, Triceratops Plant-Based Cafe and Brontosaurus Steakhouse.

Madame Kaji is a woman who has managed to find autonomy over her life in a world hostile to women. Tart, unflappable, wise and unsentimental (can sometimes be charmingly persuasive). She worked her way up to this managerial role from the bottom up. As a brothel madam, she manages a group of prostitutes and as a Courtesan (called Oiran in Japan) she has more refined entertainment skills and training in the traditional arts than common prostitutes.

This delightfully nonexistent establishment is staffed by impeccably dressed animals who sip from fine china, read yesterday’s newspaper and silently judge anyone ordering the vanilla slice. Cool fact: The word “taxidermy” comes from the Greek words taxis, meaning “arrangement,” and derma, meaning “skin”. Which sounds considerably less charming over afternoon tea.
