Their influence on comedy has been compared to the Beatles' influence on music, and Gilliam's animation skills pushed the boundaries of what was acceptable in style and content. A self-contained comedy unit, the Pythons had creative control that allowed them to experiment with form and content, discarding rules of television comedy.
Description: The character of 'Baron Munchausen' is best known from the movie of the same name directed by Terry Gilliam in 1988. However there are several film versions (all have large cult followings) of the circa 1785 stories and many versions of the books. In this montage I have illustrated some of the best known stories for the Barons many fans.
