Oil on canvas My December was spent far away from my computer which meant no photography, no t-shirt designing, no digital artwork, no redbubble!! I thought I would be lost with no creative outlet, but my husband suggested I paint. So I did. This is a painting of my daughter, Tane. It has been 4 years since I last painted in oils, I feel very rusty. : ) Next time I'm far away from my computer, I'm gonna try again.

Back to my favorite colors and patterns; throw in a bit of mint, a bit of aqua, some texture and doodles, and there ya go - I'm happy! This took me a whole lot longer than it probably looks like it did...

I've been experimenting with alcohol ink. Sometimes just watching the way it ebbs and flows is enough to satisfy my inner color addict for hours...

I photographed these poppy seed pods in my back garden yesterday evening. They're so wonderfully designed and sculptural, delightful objects. : ) This is my 41st work for my 52 week challenge. I'm a bit behind, I think.

I think I might, just possibly, do a series of portraits of my children in this sort of style. But don't hold me to it, okay? Life gets so busy sometimes! : )

Playing with shapes and colours today.

This is a little different for me and I wasn't even 100% sure I should upload it, but my husband and my son really liked it (both versions) so I decided to upload it after all.
