Continue with plant , flowers series. Sometimes i think if only the plants in my garden glowed.

The painting is Energetic Bloom of a vibrant, expressive meadow of flowers. The artwork is densely populated with a variety of flowers depicted in a splatter and drip style, giving it an impressionistic and somewhat abstract feel. The colors range from bright yellows, pinks, reds, purples, and blues to the soft greens and dark tones that suggest stems and foliage. Loose Landscape WIP, Step 2, by Conni Schaftenaar I'm interested in learning more about how to do loose landscapes in watercolor. This technique I'm trying involves first putting down colors on the paper in a wet-into-wet method and letting it dry. This 2nd step involved beginning to establish some trees and horizon lines using the layers of colors established in the first step. See all four steps on my gallery.

Loose Landscape WIP, Step 1, by Conni Schaftenaar I'm interested in learning more about how to do loose landscapes in watercolor. The next step will be beginning to develop an actual "landscape" using the shapes and colors already applied.
