New Zealand is a melting pot of cultures, including many from the Pacific islands. This is my tribute to some of the beautiful, traditional tapa cloth designs that have been a huge inspiration to me over the years.

Ceramic tiles with their beautiful glazes and intricate patterns are one of my favourite things in all the world. This design was inspired by tiles from Morocco and Spain. I hope you love this design as much as I do.

I love how silhouettes can convey so much meaning & feeling, while leaving so much to the imagination - or maybe that's their secret! This is my modern take on a sketch I drew many years ago...and I love how it turned out!

I love stained glass and the magical way the colours come to life when the light shines through it. In summer and early autumn sunflowers give us such joy, so I've combined these two loves of mine in this piece.

My first big overseas trip was to Japan, which made a lasting impression on me. Especially since that time I’ve been fascinated by Japanese motifs. This piece was inspired by a kimono designed by my friend’s grandfather.

Acrylic painting inspired by a unique native. We often see these beautiful "kereru" or wood pigeons where I live in Auckland, New Zealand. Their feathers sound like rustling silk as they fly which means we usually hear them before we see them.

Every September (NZ spring) our iconic native kowhai trees light up with masses of glorious golden flowers and attract the nectar-loving tuis from far and wide. One of my favorite trees by far.

Sea turtles are beautiful but endangered creatures that deserve our protection. This design is also tribute to a traditional art form of many Pacific Islands that features striking designs and simple colors painted onto tapa cloth.
