Description: The ''submerged'' symbolizes everything we have inside, of which however we are not aware, which pushes to find expression. The window is a metaphor for dreams, for Freud a window on the unconscious. The girls represent the latent contents of the dream dimension, discernible through it only in masked form. The two ladders towards which the two girls go are actually the two extremes of the same staircase. A reference to the concept of perpetual return of those elements that seem to be recurrent in life, hiding behind different garments but revealing the same substance. A repetition that seems inevitable despite the past years and the different contexts. Although it may appear the fruit of a destiny already written, it was only shaped by us
Description: The surreal castle flies in the sky, hovering above any form of rationality and surpassing the rules of physics. The force of imagination beats the force of gravity. ''Castles in the air'' is a saying that refers to fantasies that are difficult to realize, but the inner force in pursuing your dreams can really make it fly. Finally, the castle, with its mighty walls, has the function of protecting what is precious and vulnerable inside. This also applies to people, when they erect walls or exhibit hard armor so as not to get hurt. The castle, metaphorically, is a force field of what it holds.
Description: What flowed through me as the artwork took shape were feelings of freedom, lightness, positivity, a look to the future and openness to change. To begin with, the floral pattern of the staircase transforms step by step into a field of flowers. Symbol of the objectives that, thanks to perseverance and trust in their abilities, can come to fruition. The design dissolves to become reality. The sky comes to overflow inside the house, blurring the boundaries of the present. It is blurred because there is no clear dividing line separating the present and the future. Literally, the first fades into the second with every passing minute. The protagonist is immersed in the present (the dress has the same color as the building) but looks to the future
Description: The image represents a condition of suspension and non-belonging. To two worlds, but also to two epochs of one's life, apparently very different in form, but identical in substance. The work was partly inspired by a phrase by T. Mann '' I'm between two worlds and I'm not at home in neither of them '', reinterpreted in a perspective that relates time and identity. In addition to the memories connected to them, parts of oneself are also and above all relegated to the different periods of everyone's life. Returning there means re-meeting them. And sometimes, not to recognize yourself. The suspension symbolizes a being '' other '' from what one has been, even without knowing who one is currently. A being '' elsewhere ''.
