Description: A hand-drawn illustrated portrait print of Kiefer Sutherland as the vampire 'David' from Joel Schumacher's 1987 cult classic horror movie 'The Lost Boys'. This is one of the coolest retro 1980's films ever made and one of my favourites to watch late at night on VHS when I was growing up. So I really wanted to pay tribute to it and draw this picture of Kiefer Sutherland with my trusty 0.1 unipin fineline marker pen.
Description: My homage the late, great American writer, film-maker, musician, actor and visual artist, David Lynch. Lynch was an icon of American arthouse cinema and counter culture. he directed some of the most iconic films of all time such as Mulholland Drive, Blue Velvet, the Elephant Man, Eraserhead, and one of the best TV shows ever, Twin Peaks. He was highly influential for me as an artist and I've tried to convey my admiration for him with this hand-drawn, moody illustration poster. It was illustrated with a HB pencil and then rendered and coloured on my iPad. I also added the floor pattern from the Black Lodge as a background, giving it a graphic look.
