The then young and fledgling Silver Bullet label wanted to own a holiday, but had to pick a less beer-centric one where they could afford to make their campaign dollars go farther and so they picked... Halloween. Yes, Halloween. Enter the BeerWolf - the hard-partying cousin of the werewolf who loved pounding beers at Halloween parties. Surprisingly, he was a hit and helped sell more beer. He was so popular, that he didn't go into hibernation after the calendar changed and actually started showing up for other holidays, events, and for no real reason at all. Here's to you, you crazy beer-drinking bastard.
Description: Schmitz said he and co-owner Larry Schmitz sold the property to the adjacent RaceTrac gas station. Cousins Lawrence “Bigun” and Leonard Schmitz opened Club Schmitz in January 1946 after returning from World War II. Leonard’s son, Bob, and Bigun’s son, Larry, took over the business in the late 1970s. Bob Schmitz, 60, said he was “torn” about closing Club Schmitz, but said now he and Larry, 64, will look to do something new. He said he doesn’t see a new Club Schmitz location happening at the moment. There aren’t any big celebrations planned, Bob Schmitz said, as customers, many of whom are friends, will come in to pay their respects.

Description: After Sophia Petrillo's stroke that very badly damaged the part of her brain that censored her thoughts, her daughter, Dorothy Zbornak placed her in Shady Pines. Sophia detested it, claiming that they were cruel there, but it is eventually revealed that the facility was a satisfactory place that Sophia just didn't care for. In September 1985, Shady Pines burned down after a heater fire, causing Sophia to move in with Dorothy, Blanche Devereaux, and Rose Nylund. After a short time, Shady Pines was reconstructed, with Sophia not returning, however she did keep in contract with her friends and entered the talent show in one episode. Dorothy used the catchphrase "Shady Pines, Ma" to keep Sophia in order.

Ford planned for 100,000 first-year sales, but dealers sold 22,000 on the first day. The Ford Mustang launched a whole new genre of automobiles, known as pony cars.
