Description: Birds are a recurrent theme throughout Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre. I have selected bird related pasages from the novel and collaged the text in chaffinches over a feather pattern marbled paper in blue green and yellow. It gives a bit of an impressionistic feel.I've tried to give a sense of light coming from the house against the backdrop of a bleak day in Yorkshire. The front door is white now, but was dark when the Bronte's lived there. I've kept the door dark so the eye is drawn and it invites the viewer in.
