Description: I love books so much, my home is full of them. There is nothing better than a pile of new books just waiting to be read, and a quiet day to read them in. Such days don't come around too often in my life, but I can dream. : )

Description: Do you see tiny pandas or giant poppies? :) I had no internet for five days. FIVE DAYS. I don't feel amazing. I don't feel magically content and re-connected with my family. I feel frustrated, unproductive, mad. And my creativity is low.... Anyway, this is what I did with that time. Not much to show for five days of downtime, is it?

But my garden is full of proteas, and they are so lovely, I find their shapes and colors endlessly inspiring, so it had to be done. I couldn't ignore them anymore. : )

Description: More of what grows in my garden. Butterflies are symbolic of resurrection, hope, joy, and new beginnings, but often these things only come through dark times and hard experiences. Today was, for me, one of those days, but working on this pattern lifted my spirit. This is for my husband.
