Loch Eilein captured at sunset with the first snowfall of the year. The loch is located in the Rothiemurchus forest, close to Aviemore in the Cairngorm National Park of Scotland. A beautiful loch with popular walks around its shores.

Bollihope Quarry is a disused quarry located in the countryside near the village of Frosterley if County Durham - England. The area once used for quarrying of limestone - with records dating back to the 12th century, it is now a picnic and walking area with stunning views over the local moors and fells.
Innominate Tarn is a small tarn in the northern Lake District National Park in Cumbria, England. It is located near the summit of Haystacks. The name Innominate means "without a name", however it was formerly known as Loaf Tarn. Alfred Wainwrights ashes were scattered in the area.

High Force is probably one of the most impressive waterfalls in England. The River Tees plunges some 22 metres (71feet) from Whinn Sill as it flows through Upper Teesdale. Not the highest waterfall in England, but most certainly the one that has the largest volume of water in a single drop.

Cow Green Reservoir, is located just inside County Durham, close to Upper Teesdale and the Cumbrian border. The water from the reservoir is used to feed the River Tees. Here the water is being released from the dam and rushes towards the Cauldron Snout waterfall, before flowing onwards to the waterfalls of High Force and Low Force.

Linn Burn, running from its source at Westburnhope Moor passing Hexhamshire Common, to eventually meet other burns and flow into the River Tyne at Corebridge.
Angle Tarn is a small mountain lake in Cumbria, situated in The Lake District, on the Angletarn Pikes walk, near to Ullswater and about a mile north east of Hartsop.
Two rowing boats pulled up onto the shoreline of St Mary's Loch. The loch is the largest natural loch in the Scottish Borders and is situated between Selkirk and Moffat in the beautiful Yarrow valley.

The Costa Calma, located in the southern end of Fuerteventura has expanses of sandy beaches and is famous for wind and kite surfing. Close to the Melia Gorriones hotel, the coast and hills (that look like huge sand dunes) allow for some colourful and scenic sunsets and sunrises.

A fantasy take on the beach huts located at Blyth, Northumberland in north east England. Using a digital art program, the image has been made circular, a sunrise image added along with the hot air balloons, all together to make a fantasy image.

A view across the Old Chemical Beach, passed Liddle Stack, over Noses Point, Seaham Harbour and off north to Sunderland. The Heritage Cost, has a number of little bays in the area, the beaches vary from rock and shingle to soft sand. Here the view is over the older beaches, that were used as a dumping ground for the waste materials of the mines and the chemical factory of Seahams industrial past. The wooden uprights show the route the old wagons took to the dumping areas. All cleaned now and beaches that have been awarded Blue Flag status.

The Slope Beach and Pier at Seaham Harbour. The slope is a sheltered sandy beach located between two piers at the harbour entrance. It was once an area where families visited and children learned to swim.
Following refurbishment of the North Pier and the marina, it now attracts more visitors.
The sunrises at low tide give some great images, as do the winter waves that pound the pier.
