The color palette used for this pattern is very soft in pastel shades of green, yellow, brown and coral on dark violet background. I associate this color scheme with Bilibin intricate illustrations from my childhood books with folklore fairy tales - the most treasured possession at the time.. I could spend hours studying every detail.. Cloudless sky, bright warm sunshine, busy bees buzzing around, delicate smell of flowers filling the air and old shaggy dog hunting for flies.. With the same painstakingness the tireless bees are working in the crowns of seemingly serene trees, I manually created each bud, leaf and insect on this canvas from experienced emotions and my sincere love.
