Description: If this drawing seems familiar to you, it's because it started out as a pencil sketch in my Big Black Sketchbook way back in 2018. I have been wanting to ink and color it ever since and I finally got around to it in 2022.

Description: Hard work is great, but kinda overrated. Counting on hard work alone for your success leads to burnout. Care about yourself. Care about your work. Care about your friends. Care about the results. Care about helping others.

Description: A whole cautionary tale in one drawing.

Description: I drew myself as a zombie to celebrate the end of the super-popular comic The Walking Dead.

Description: A rap quote I always wanted on a teeshirt

Description: The impending torpedoing of abortion rights inspired protests of all kinds, and as usual, the criticism of protest is never far behind. The Reverend Dr. Jacqui Lewis dropped this jewel on Twitter that spoke loudly to me.

Description: I very rarely argue with anyone on the internet. But a Facebook "friend" tried to say I was "lucky" in the comments and I stayed on his tail until he "agreed to disagree." Looking at that in my FB memories got me thinking. Quitters are always trying to call me lucky. Never that. Magic? Maybe. Blessed? Fa sho. But I go too hard to let anyone call my wins luck.

Description: Cubist painter and sculptor Pablo Picasso (25 October 1881 – 8 April 1973) remains very quotable. This is my favorite Picasso quote.

Description: "Teach only love, for that is what you are." -Gerald Jampolsky... I don't remember where I heard this quote, but I wrote it in my journal in April of 2012. Words to live by! - AMEN

Description: 2 Lit and the Melanites are coming to GhettoManga Magazine!

Description: People worry about looking cool and stylish a lot. I just focus on being happy. Being happy never goes out of style.

Description: Kids today don't know anything about buffering. They probably don't know who this robot is either!

Description: This is one of those sayings that a mentor passed to me that I never forgot. Not everybody is right for you, and you are not right for everybody. Don't take it personal. Most people are the wrong people.

Description: Brought this classic drawing out, from my pa(y)triotic series.

Description: Variety is the spice of life. Stop trying to be so vanilla all the time.

Description: Venting negative emotions is fine, but soothing them away is better.

Description: Enter the Champ, from the GhettoManga Funnies strip THE SHEEPLE'S CHAMP. This character, image, and the comic strip was inspired by the indie rapper J Clazzified, who suggested the concept Wolf In Sheep's Clothing for my Sunday Funnies Free Comic Strip Contest in 2018.

Description: Love is a gift. Even love that is not returned is beautiful, but to enjoy it fully, you must remember to love yourself with the same love you flow to others.

Description: Just because I'm a monster doesn't mean I'm the bad guy.

Description: Don't let people define you by your enemies.

Description: Pegasus is an apprentice-level sorceress, the disciple of an angry extra-dimensional omega-level sorcerer. Since her preteen years, Pegasus has served as an advocate who must periodically convince her master not to cross over into our dimension and destroy it. As her mystical powers have grown, Pegasus recently decided to become a superhero. She is the newest (and the youngest) member of the Divas.

Description: I draw what I want. That's why.

Description: I drew this picture of Max Julian from the blaxploitation movie The Mack for a possible comics gig.  I don't know if I expect to get it, but it's a paying job by a writer I really like, so I figured I'd give it a try.  It would be a feather in my cap to land this one, so we'll see.  Either way, it was fun to draw. So here it is!

Description: Life is complicated. Take what you can from the wisdom and genius of previous generations. But don't let the ideas and institutions of the past oppress you. Just because it is what's done, doesn't mean it's what should be done.

Description: It's natural to notice when things aren't fair. But being mad at people who are getting "more than their fair share" isn't gonna do you any good. Stop hating on them long enough to figure out how to get your fair share and help your people get theirs. Success is the best revenge.

Description: Nothing more appealing to me than a no nonsense black lady with a good job. - A M E N

Description: I wrote this strip because I keep getting those "pre-approved" loan and credit card offers. As usual, instead of letting myself get frustrated, I wrote a comic strip.

Description: It remains the second happiest day of my life. Father's Day 2011. A family trip to the all-you-can-eat buffet. Married to my college sweetheart. sitting next to my perfect little bundle of joy. Spending day off from my great job with the two people I love the most, who also love me. I was living the dream.
