Tapestries
Description: In Norse mythology, the female being named Hel rules of the domain of the dead, also known as Hel. From this comes the English word for hell. I like to think one day we'll encounter a world worthy of the name. Would it be icy and cold or a toxic, volcanic wasteland? The scene was rendered using Bryce.
Description: A water kelpie is a mythical beast said to inhabit the lochs of Scotland. It's a shape-shifter than appears as a horse that can also appear human. While kelpies playing in the waves may present no threat, beware any bearing a saddle and bridle. The creature may allow you to ride it... straight down beneath the waves. Is such a creature real? You be the judge. Beings by other names are described in lore around the world. Rendered in 3D using Daz3D and Photoshop
Description: This is a photograph of real flames and real colors (though I did kick up the saturation a notch, since I was using a short exposure). The colors are from simple home chemicals, with potassium (no-sodium salt) for violet, borax (laundry booster) for green, sodium for yellow (table salt), and strontium for red (from an emergency flare). Orange is from a mixture of strontium and sodium.
