In the Village, in New York, still jet lagged but too excited to care, I wander around and experience the Village. There is a scent of tar, of carbolic soap perhaps, and the temping smells of pizza dough in the oven. The buildings are brown, red, like a Vermont autumn, evocative of the 19th century. I admire a large yellow sign, cutting through the scene insistently. This work is rich in contrast, in shadow and light. It is a perfect addition to any collection of American-themed art and a great souvenir of New York.

A white cottage, the lapping Mediterranean breaking the silence of midday, along with the gentle hum of bees. The heat is palpable, like a caress, stopping us in our tracks. I am struck by the vivid pink colours in front of me, by the wall of flowers and the matching pink, wooden door. This colourful work makes an ideal gift, a perfect collection starter, a great souvenir.

Village Square In France

About 20 km to the Northeast of Konitsa town (Ioannina, Epirus, Greece), close to the Greek-Albanian borders, there is a small group of beautiful villages, called "The Stone Villages". Those villages are Monastiri, Molista and Ganadio. They were the only villages of the region that were lucky to avoid the Nazi's brutality. The Nazis burned and devastated almost every village of the region except those three, so in the "Stone villages" you can enjoy excellent traditional architecture and beautiful stone houses. Life there isn't easy. During winter, very few inhabitants remain in these remote villages. In Ganadio (the most beautiful of them 3), for example, the total population is 3 people! French House in Summer

On a sultry afternoon, by the banks of a French river, I spot this house, a magical house of blue shutters and white walls. Time moves slowly, languid, the air scented with peach, apricot and cherry, with a tang of lemon and the heady perfume of delicate rose. I want only to linger, enjoying a patch of shade. Time moves slowly. Yet soon the hour will come when the sky turns to a delicate pink, and then to raspberry, and then drinks will flow, served with cheese, and bread. The work is rich in realism, infused with heat and light.

Pedestrian Village is an art print I created using an impasto oil technique. This technique focuses on bold brush strokes and bright colors creating a traditional look. The setting is Whistler, British Columbia which is a popular ski destination in the winter. This print depicts fall when all of the leaves of the trees are at their peak color. The architecture is reminiscent of a Swill Village. It is nestled in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains housing the ski slopes.
