Taken 9 storey's up above the city of Leeds on a Canon S120 Zoom compact. A single RAW file was processed in Adobe Camera RAW and slight distortions from the wide angle end of the zoom were straightened out. The frame was then processed in Topaz DeNoise 6 then converted to Mono in Topaz B&W Effects 2. The finished image was then resized in On1 using the Genuine Fractals Engine. f/5.7 ISO 3200 26 mm Evaluative Metering

Dogs running and people walking and cycling through a sunlit glade,whilst an old aircraft thunders overhead into a brief hailstorm. I use Winsor and Newton professional acrylics and glazes and the painting has a high gloss, deep lustrous surface. The edges of the wood panel are painted and glazed to enable the artwork to be displayed with or without a frame. The painting is supplied with fittings for hanging and a certificate of authenticity.

This narrative painting is partly allegorical, mainly autobiographical and is Inspired by an incident walking the dog in Bishopstoke woods, Hampshire, when an 80 year old Spitfire aircraft thunders overhead powered by its Merlin engines and soon after there is a brief hailstorm. Two cyclists dressed in tweeds on bespoke bicycles freewheel past a row of artificial trees, whilst a dog runs, stops and stares.

Just like an elevator, this design works on multiple levels! It's retro cartoon fun, a drawing tutorial, and an animation walk cycle! It's better than the elevator joke anyway...
