This is a design I based on my Dudey Bagpipes which are made by Sean Jones and are halfway between the Scottish Smallpipes and the dudey of Pretorious, (a 17th Century text)

From an original engraving The faiths of the World by James Gardner. Published circa 1860 by Fullarton & Co. Built for the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, better known for his commissioning of the nearby Taj Mahal for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mehal. Please note with regard to scanned antique prints there may be some age related marks or faults from the originals which will show also on any print ordered. This is inevitable with prints of this age & actually lends an authentic look to the prints. Please refer to the actual image on sale. First view of the Taj Mahal through the main entrance gate, Agra, India. The red sand stone gate and wall is decorated in the same way as the Taj with inlaid precious & semi-precious stones. The red sandstone makes a strong contrast with the white marble of the Taj itself. Agra, India. World Heritage Listed. Built by Shah Jahan for his favourite wife.
