The Women's Army Corps (WAC) was the women's branch of the United States Army. The United States Army Nurse Corps (AN or ANC) was formally established by the U.S. Congress in 1901. It is one of the six medical special branches (or "corps") of officers which – along with medical enlisted soldiers – comprise the Army Medical Department (AMEDD). This iconic design helped to popularise the Graphic T-Shirt, and was issued to GI's attending the Air Corps Gunnery School in Las Vegas Nevada during WWII. During Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm XVIII Airborne Corps Artillery consisted of the 3d Battalion, 8th Field Artillery; 5th Battalion, 8th Field Artillery; and the 1st Battalion (Airborne), 39th Field Artillery. The living quarters for these three units were situated between the 82d Airborne Division and the Special Forces at Fort Bragg.
