Description: Super President was a short-lived animated series that aired between September 16, 1967 and December 28, 1968 that blended superhero action with political fantasy at the height of the Cold War. The show followed James Norcross, the first U.S. president secretly endowed with superpowers through a top-secret government project, allowing him to defend the nation - and the world - from high-tech villains and global threats. Super President used abilities like super strength, flight, and advanced weaponry hidden in everyday objects, including his briefcase and cane to confront evil wherever it presented itself. The series reflected 1960s anxieties about espionage and technological warfare, packaging them in a stylized, kid-friendly format.
