Gwot Bags
Description: When the Global War on Terror (GWOT) popped off in 2001, the troops on the ground would find themselves fueled by an unlikely source in the decades that followed. Wild Tiger was a locally produced energy drink that became a hands-down favorite over the stuff available on base as it helped troops on extended shifts stay awake and alert. It was often referred to as 'liquid cocaine,' and there was a rumor that it contained nicotine, but that was proven to be false. The high-octane drink actually contains nicotinic acid, also known as Vitamin B3 or niacin, so the rumor that it contained nicotine was a misconception.

This early stage of the war formally ended on 1 May 2003 when U.S. President George W. Bush declared the "end of major combat operations",

Description: Blue Light was formed in 1977 under the 5th Special Forces Group as the first U.S. Army counterterrorist unit. It was created to provide an Army CT capability until Delta Force could become operational. It was stood down in 1978 when Delta Force began operations, but it is the predecessor for the Critical Threat Advisory Companies (CTAC) now found in every Special Forces Group. The "NOUS DÉFIONS" ("We Dare") emblem was created by Blue Light and has since been adopted by the CTACs. The emblem in this design is closely modeled on the original on the Blue Light unit flag.

Description: The 7th ADA was organized during the Spanish-American War and has the distinction of being the first U.S. Coast Artillery Corps unit in WWI to open fire... on the Western Front. Using railway guns. This was, in fact, the CAC's biggest contribution to the war effort, providing heavy artillery support to doughboys. Campaign credits include WWII, Korea and Vietnam. It has been equipped most recently with the HAWK and Patriot missile units and saw service in Desert Storm and (I believe) Southern Watch. This unit crest comes in left and right versions.
