Lamarr was a brilliant actress, but also a brilliant inventor. She pioneered the technology that directly led to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. So while she had a very pretty face, she was way more than that!

Hedy Lamarr (/ˈhɛdi/; born Hedwig Eva Maria Kiesler; November 9, 1914[a] – January 19, 2000) was an Austro-Hungarian-born American actress and technology inventor.[2] She was a film star during Hollywood's Golden Age.[3]

1940s actress Hedy Lamarr developed frequency-hopping signal technology that would later be implemented by the Navy, and be used to create Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
