The beautiful town of Sirmione is situated at the end of a peninsular at the south end of Lake Garda in Northern Italy. This image was shot from the eastern side of the historical centre of the resort and Mallard ducks can be spotted on the clear, still water of the lake just before the sun set over the horizon at the end of another beautiful May day.

We were in Michigan to attend a wedding, staying at a lake house on Lake Lancer. It was the end of the summer, a cool, clear day with scattered clouds. It's a bit of a photographic cliché to capture an image out along a jetty, but given the opportunity, why not? I do hope you like it.

The dawn start down low on the horizon before it blossoms up until it fills the whole of your vision.

Sullivan Bay, Sorrento, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia. Sullivan Bay is the site of Victoria's first white settlement back in 1803. The settlement was located on the eastern point. The two calcarenite headlands that border the 400 m long bay are known as The Sisters. A foreshore reserve backs the western half of the bay and the historic section of the eastern Sister. Houses and some private jetties are located along the eastern half of the bay. There is a public parking area just off the Nepean Highway in the centre of the bay. The beach faces north-east and receives usually low wind waves. It consists of a relatively narrow strip of sand, fronted by 100 to 200 m wide tidal sand flats.

SORRENTO PORTSEA - Melbourne Victoria Australia, on a beautiful day..

Glenridding (meaning “glen overgrown with bracken”) is a small, mainly tourist village at the southern end of Ullswater, near the foot of Kirkstone Pass. With the lead mining industry gone, the area is now mainly for the tourists who come to view one of the most beautiful areas in the Lakes. The area is popular with walkers with many walks to suit all levels from the easy to the more demanding. One reason a lot of walkers come here is to do the classic Helvellyn walk along Striding Edge. This is a walk not for the fainted hearted with Helvellyn reaching a height of 3,116ft [950m].

Remnants of what once was a pier that extended out into the ocean. Over the years, storms and the pounding of the waves have taken their toll and all that's left are these wooden pilings.

When I came home from work I just saw the clouds of the upcoming thunder storm and the bright sun, and I knew I had to go to take some photos. And the result: with this image I started my Redbubble account. The pictures were taken in Hagnau, Germany from a restaurant's jetty towards the village's jetty where tourists boats stop to load and unload passengers (as you cann see in the picture). This is a HDR image made out of three pictures. Canon EOS 70D, 1/400 s (1), 1/1000 s (2), 1/160 s (3), f11, 15 mm, ISO 100.

I just wanted to show a friend some features of Photoshop when this picture "happened". I just took an interesting Lake Constance photo, added some layers with different colors and highlighted the lake surface. That's it. The result was surprisingly good (at least in my opinion), much more interesting than the original - that's why I did upload it here. The original was taken by Canon EOS 60D, 1/250 s, f7.1, 15 mm, ISO 100.
