In ancient times, brother and sister - Mani and Sol ( Moon and Sun ) sometimes stopped their run in the sky, to see what happens down, on ground, and lingered for a long time in one place. Many were unhappy with this.. Therefore, Odin, the father of the gods, gave them two shadowers, two giant wolves. This was sons of Fenrir - Hati "He Who Hates", or "Enemy" and Skoll "Treachery". Day and night they hunt brother and sister, and when they get too close, eclipses occur..

Skoll - the One Who Mocks and Hati - the One Who Hates.

The "The Devourer of the Sun: Skoll the Wolf" design is a stunning tribute to one of the most terrifying creatures in Norse mythology. Skoll was a giant wolf, said to chase the sun across the sky, and was known as the "devourer of the sun" because of its role in bringing about the end of the world. In Norse mythology, Ragnarök would be the end of more than just the gods and men. The entire world would be destroyed and two wolves, Sköll and Hati, would ensure that not even light survived.
