*Bosham* Number of views as of 13th August 2018 = 420. Bosham (pronounced Bozzam) is a picturesque coastal village situated on an inlet of Chichester Harbour, in the southern county of West Sussex, England. It's an idyllic spot, with the 10th century Holy Trinity Church, never far from view. Motorists must beware however, because at high tide the sea comes right into the old village, flooding the lower road around the harbour and with it several car parking spaces. Its Norman past can be seen in the round chancel arch but the building has its origins earlier than this being founded in c.850. This oil painting comes from a view I captured on one of my many trips walking the coast of Britain. The location is just outside Bosham (near Chichester, Sussex) - a place most known for the tide coming over the road. Its an area of muddy creeks that are popular with sailors, and quiet paths that weave around on the dry parts. Here I spotted a wild rose framing the view, and strove to capture the feel of the area.
