Description: Bulleen Bolognese Bar is the imaginary restaurant brave enough to look at centuries of Italian cuisine and say, “We’ll just have the red one.” The menu offers spaghetti bolognese in several different styles, all of which remain suspiciously similar to spaghetti bolognese. Meanwhile, its moustachioed bowl mascot patrols the premises with a wooden spoon and absolutely no tolerance for pesto. Sadly, it isn’t a real business, so carbonara remains free to roam the streets. Cool fact: In Bologna, traditional ragù alla bolognese is generally served with tagliatelle rather than spaghetti; spaghetti bolognese as we know it became popular outside Italy.
