Censored Merch
Description: This bold minimalist design features a red speech bubble filled with six white asterisks – the universal symbol for censored, unspoken, or private words. A cheeky nod to geek culture, online anonymity, and digital privacy. Whether you're channeling hacker vibes or just love clever, subtle designs, this piece makes a great gift for techies, meme lovers, and stylish introverts.
Description: This is what transparency looks like now. This design reflects censorship, stonewalling, sealed records, and accountability buried under black ink. When answers disappear, trust goes with them. When everything is classified, nothing is legitimate. Silence isn’t neutral. It’s the cover.
Description: On June 6, 1990, 2 Live Crew's “As Nasty As They Wanna Be” became the first record to be declared legally obscene after being banned in many parts of Florida. The rap group went after the government in court, losing when Federal District Judge Jose Gonzales made the ruling that the album violated community obscenity standards across Florida counties. As a result, the album sold more copies than it probably ever would have otherwise, and various 'Censorship Is Un-American' efforts ensued across the country, including this one that has been recreated since free speech never goes out of style.
