When drawing this piece I spent a lot of time on the composition, the style and the overall look of the drawing. Focusing on the 60s period of her career the original piece was drawn using a variety of Indian inks which gave me the capability to add in detailed and really fine line work in my drawing to ensure every fine line of hair, shading and texturing were included. 1960s Rock Legends

The Archies were a fictional rock band that is best remembered for their appearance as an animated TV series, though first appeared in comic book form in 1967. Studio musicians were assembled by Kirshner in 1968 to perform various songs, leading to several LPs and singles being released. "Sugar, Sugar" is the most famous, and went to number one on the pop chart in 1969, sold over six million copies, and was certified gold. In the Hot 100, it was ranked as the No. 1 song of that year, the only time a fictional band has ever claimed the annual Hot 100 top spot.

Aside from sporting events, decades of concerts were staged at the Spectrum, which was highly praised for its acoustic properties, something that many say can be heard in live recordings made at the venue.
