Brewery's founder Ferdinand Unger inherited Rohozec estate with the brewery in 1850. He held it until 1906, when it passed to his son Charles. In May 1909 Charles Unger offered Rohozec Brewery to brewmaster Alois Holub for purchase. In 1913 the company changed its name to Corporate Brewery, which lasted until 1924, when the brewery became a joint stock company. In 1948 the brewery was nationalized and became part of the national enterprise Severočeské breweries. In 1994 the brewery was privatized by public tender announced by the National Property Fund. Mismanagement of the then owners of the brewery almost brought it to ruin.
