The first week of February 1958 found the 46th FA Group believed of all its attachments.and transferred to Fort Sill, Oklahoma, with one officer and 42 enlisted men. Shortly afterwards the Group was redesignated as the 46th Field Artillery Group (Redstone) On 24 June 1958 the 46th Artillery Group was again reorganized, the 2d Missile Battalion's Headquarters and Headquarters Battery was disbanded and the firing batteries, A and B, were assigned to the 46th Artillery Group. 9 July 1958, Headquarters USAA&MC, Fort Sill issued GO #72 which once more redesignated the Group

Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 52nd Coast Artillery, reconstituted 28 June 1950 in the Regular Army and redesignated as Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 52nd Field Artillery Group. Activated 18 January 1952 at Fort Sill, Oklahoma Redesignated 25 June 1958 as Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 52nd Artillery Group Inactivated 30 June 1971 at Fort Sill, Oklahoma

The 84th Field Artillery Battery (762mm Rkt) was activated on 1 March 1954 at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. On 16 January 1955 the unit shipped out of Fort Sill for reassignment overseas. The battery arrived in Germany on 5 February 1955 and was attached to the 30th Field Artillery Group, Hanau, Germany. The 84th Rocket Battery May 1956 and was then transferred to HQ Btry of the 30th FA Group. The 84th and the 30th HQ were both in Yorkhof Kaserne in Hanau.
