While in Melbourne recently, I was fortunate to meet an amazing man who inspired this painting. His name is Zaugustaz, and if you are a regular to the city you may even know him. He is a very colourful character and dresses accordingly. Zaugustaz is a beautiful person who loves you to stop and chat. He has a small suitcase with him, containing his paraphernalia of the day.... his art books, his memorabilia and his paintings, which he will proudly show to you. His main home is on the streets and he has been living this way for 50 years. When I met him I immediately thought of St Francis.
