Yayoi Kusama is a Japanese artist and writer. A precursor of the pop art, minimalist and feminist art movements, she influenced contemporaries such as Andy Warhol and Claes Oldenburg. Kusama is one of the most important living artists to come out of Japan, and an important voice of the avant-garde.

On October 9th, 2012, 15-year-old Malala Yousafzai rode the bus home after taking an exam in Swat Valley, Pakistan. She was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman due to her effort in promoting access to education, especially for girls and women. Malala is one of Bonsters’ most respected heros standing up for freedom and equality. Sure, Bonsters have done such things as skipping school once in a while, however, we wouldn’t be here if we’re illiterate or don’t know how to use a computer! We hope one day children and adults around the world will have access to education they desire.
