The A1A Car Wash was an Albuquerque car wash owned, for many years, by Bogdan Wolynetz. When he was a high school chemistry teacher, Walter White worked part-time at the car wash as a cashier before deciding to quit after learning of his cancer diagnosis. The car wash was later bought by Walt and Skyler White as a money laundering facility for Walt's illegally procured gains. After they have been helped, customers are told to "have an A1 day" (the motto of the car wash).

Beneke Fabricators was a company run by Ted Beneke which had been previously run by his father before him. Skyler White had once worked for the company as their bookkeeper, when Ted's father was running the company. At the time, she had complained about fumes in the workplace, and it is implied that Ted on one occasion sexually harassed her. The company was audited by the IRS for fraudulent financial records and has shut down as a result.

Walter Hartwell White Sr., also known by his clandestine alias Heisenberg, is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the American neo-Western crime drama television series Breaking Bad. He is portrayed by Bryan Cranston. A graduate of the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Walter co-founded the company Gray Matter Technologies with his close friend Elliott Schwartz and his then-girlfriend Gretchen. He left Gray Matter abruptly, selling his shares. Soon afterward, the company made a fortune, much of it from his research. Walt subsequently moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he became a high school chemistry teacher. Breaking Bad begins on Walt's 50th birthday, when he is diagnosed with cancer.
