From the 1930's, the seal of the Civilian Conservation Corps. Part of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's " New Deal ", the Civilian Conservation Corps provided work for millions of men during the Great Depression. From 1933 to 1942 these men provided manual labor needed to improve America's public lands, parks and forests.
