I commute through Lower Manhattan everyday and I love taking pictures along the way. Here's a shot of the (at the time) newly redone Fulton Street Subway station.

Remember the old Victory Market Grocery Store in Fulton? Some of them became Great Americans, and a lot of them simply closed. Headquartered in Norwich NY, there were over 100 Victory Supermarkets at one time, but now there are none.

Old Fulton Street And Brooklyn Bridge, New York The Brooklyn Bridge is a hybrid cable-stayed/suspension bridge in New York City, spanning the East River between the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Opened on May 24, 1883, the Brooklyn Bridge was the first fixed crossing of the East River. Looking up towards all the cables which contribute to holding up this masterpiece. Remembering the great Abraham & Straus Department Store. Officially Abraham & Straus but everybody just called it A & S. They had a number of different logos over the years but this is my favorite. The company's 841,000-square-foot Brooklyn flagship store was located at 422 Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn. In 2003, the Brooklyn Heights Association and the Municipal Art Society put the building on a list of 28 historic buildings in downtown Brooklyn that needed to be protected.
