A summer evening on the Yorkshire coast. The town is still now, the street empty, the air warm. The air is redolent of brine, the sea just a few feet away, and with it the unmistakable tang of fish and chips, succulent batter and sharp vinegar. There is a softness to the evening, a sense of timelessness, of Englishness. I want to keep walking, to head to the sea perhaps, or to follow the main road for a while. The fading sun casts spells with colour and magic. A lovely, vibrant addition to any collection, and a perfect gift.
