No matter who you are or where you come from, you will eventually die.

There's no time to waste

We are all going to die one day, but sometimes we can't control death. The only thing that we can do is to treasure every moment you have, and make everyday the best of your life !

According to legend, Death appears at midnight every year on Halloween. Death calls forth the dead from their graves to dance for him while he plays his fiddle (here represented by a solo violin). His skeletons dance for him until the rooster crows at dawn, when they must return to their graves until the next year.

My illustration for the Year of the Water Rabbit 2023. I drew in the goldfish on the skull for good luck and the water rabbits to symbolize this Chinese New Year. I use a lot of Memento Mori themes in my work. Aside from the fact that I think skulls are cool, I think it's good to be reminded that life is short so we need to make the most out of it and hopefully with good luck and good health on our side.

We all have to die some time... act accordingly.

Remember you must die, so remember to live!
