If there was an image to describe a ninja, this legend's photo would suffice. Sho Kosugi as Yamada, the one eyed ninja from Japan ventured to the west seeking revenge on the evil black ninja who destroyed his family and blinded him.

It is the first adaptation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The pilot was shown during the week of December 14, 1987 in syndication as a five-part miniseries, and the show began its full-time run on October 1, 1988.
