Binford Tools - Home Improvement

Tool Time was the handyman show-within-a-show in Home Improvement. It was hosted by Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor (played by Tim Allen) and Al Borland (played by Richard Karn). The sponsor of Tool Time was Binford Tools, a tool manufacturing company that exists in real life. The show was said to be played on Channel 112. Tool Time was said to be the 4th most popular cable-based tool show in all of Michigan. An episode of the third season of Home Improvement, entitled "Fifth Anniversary" which aired on ABC in the United States in 1994 celebrated Tool Time's fifth anniversary, thus revealing that Tool Time debuted in 1989.

The Goodies Design is inspired by the classic TV comedy featuring the trio of British comedians Bill Oddie, Graeme Garden and Tim Brooke-Taylor. Combining surreal sketches and situation comedy, The Goodies was a mainstay of the television schedules throughout the 70's and early 80's. The series revolved around the trio, always short of money, offering themselves for hire — with the tagline "We Do Anything, Anytime, Anywhere" — to perform all sorts of ridiculous but generally benevolent tasks. Under this loose pretext, the show explored all sorts of off-the-wall scenarios for comedic potential.
