Tri-colored Heron Vibrant Beauty ©Debra Martz I was surprised and happy at the numbers of these herons on this morning. It seemed every turn I made there was one more. The Best of My Backside ©Debra Martz The Tri-colored Herons are beautiful in any side you get to see especially in the Spring when they add extra flair for breeding season. It's standing on a board, possibly a remnant from Hurricane Harvey, from the old boardwalk. Dreamy Heron ©Debra Martz I had just been admiring another Tri-colored Heron from the boardwalk over the marsh area, then I turned onto the boardwalk that goes out to the bay when I spotted this one in the Mangroves. I thought this was a beautiful, dream-like pose by this Heron as it gently preened its gorgeous plumage. Tri-colored Heron Wind Blown by Debra Martz I had been watching one of these Herons earlier on the boardwalk for quite some time when decided I needed to move on ahead. I was walking out to a point observation deck when this one flew in and landed near me. Don't know if it was the same one or not but like how the wind was ruffling its feathers and the fact that it landed by that seashell.
