Description: "Duluth South Breakwater Outer Light" The lighthouse has quite a history spanning from the 1800s to current times. It has had many different lenses and foghorn sounds, some of which were controversial, causing rounds of noise complaints. Today, the light continues in service, displaying a fixed green light. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016 for its local significance in engineering, maritime history, and transportation. I transformed my original photograph with a painterly effect, creating photo art while preserving the scene I experienced at the ship canal in Duluth, Minnesota. This might be the biggest of the toursit attractions though with it's location along the Mississippi River Walk and a view across the street to the landmark, Jackson Square. So many birds to see when birdwatching from the nearly one-mile boardwalk at the South Padre Island Nature Center. This bronze sculpture of three Native American Spirited Warriors riding off to battle was designed by Oglala artist Colleen Cutschall. It is a part of the circular Indian Memorial at Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument in Montana. Within the full circle are granite panels containing photographic images of and quotes from chiefs and warriors. Description: Chickasaw Ballpark - Bricktown - O K C by Debra Martz At the hub of Bricktown in downtown Oklahoma City you'll find the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. It opened in 1998 and s the home of the Oklahoma City Dodgers, the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers Major League baseball team. And you should be able to catch a ballgame here as the OKC Dodgers team plays 70 home games, April through September. Description: "Red-Headed Woodpecker on Tree Trunk" We parked at the trailhead of the Eagle Roost trail, and I could barely get to my camera quickly enough; it was right at the edge of the parking area and the road. These are such beautiful woodpeckers, and I had a chance to get a clean shot of this one on the old dead tree trunk with no limbs or leaves to work around.
