Description: The Mount Rushmore National Memorial is a national memorial centered on a colossal sculpture carved into the granite face of Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills near Keystone, South Dakota. The sculptor, Gutzon Borglum, named it the Shrine of Democracy and oversaw the execution from 1927 to 1941 with the help of his son, Lincoln Borglum. Mount Rushmore attracts more than two million visitors annually to the memorial park, which covers 1,278 acres.

Situated south of Grapeseed, Sandy Shores sits on the coastline of the Alamo Sea and overlooks the towering Mount Chiliad. It's a beach town nowhere near the ocean, where the city center is a trailer park and the beach is a mixture of toxic sludge and pulverized fish bones. It has a dry, arid climate, and is home to many coyotes and bike gang members, both of which frequently end up as roadkill. At some point in time, it had a population of approximately 3,010, as seen on a welcome sign on the approach to the town. Sandy Shores is based on California's real life Salton Sea region.
