Soaring Red Kite Bird of Prey Hoodie

Strolling along a Northamptonshire footpath on a sunny Summer's day, along with the buzzing of the bees, you're likely to hear the call of a red kite (Milvus Milvus) that will be soaring high on a thermal in the blue sky or, later in the day, heading for it's evening roost. The Red Kite became extinct in the UK but has been the subject of a successful reintroduction programme - particularly in Wales and in Northamptonshire.,
