Tree with Dry Stone Wall Hoodie

I had been in the English Lakes for a few days, but alas I needed to leave. With no desire to rush, I spent an hour or so walking the paths around Ambleside before getting back into my car. The Lake District was first settled thousands of years ago, Ambleside was a Roman fort town, so the sight of old stone walls shouldn't surprise you. The wall in this image isn't that old, but it does speak to the pastoral beauty of the national park. Here, on the edge of the town is a wonderful wall running across a field with a lovely mature tree standing by its side. Peace and tranquillity reign supreme.
