Aldworth Hoodies

Looking over the meadows to the picturesque village of Aldworth in Berkshire. The village sits on the heights of the Berkshire (North Wessex) Downs just before they plunge down to the Thames at Streatley. Just to the north, the ancient Ridgeway track passes on its way from the Chilterns to Avebury in Wiltshire. In the image is the parish church of St Mary which contains huige effigies of armoured knights - members of the De La Beche family. These are often called The Aldworth Giants!
