One day when there is a cure and we can put PD behind us we can all be part of the Parkinson's Disease historical society. Together we have the strength to overcome the obstacles that Parkinson’s imposes, in one way or another, on us all.

Did you know that if you had some form of arthroplasty; knee or hip replacement, that by definition, you are “Superhuman”??? If you’ve had DBS (Deep Brain Stimulation) surgery, have an ICD (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator), a diabetic pump, some form of prosthesis or a cochlear implant that you are again, by definition … “Having extraordinary strength, powers or capabilities; superhuman”.

Did you know that if you've had Arthroplasty; knee, hip or shoulder replacement surgery, that you are Bionic? If you've had Deep Brain Stimulation surgery, you have a cochlear implant, have an insulin pump or you are one of the millions of people worldwide who has a prosthetic limb, again you are by definition ... Bionic.You have “anatomical structures or physiological processes that are replaced or enhanced by electronic or mechanical components.” In a word, you are … Superhuman! So, show it off. Embrace your bionic-ness. Be the topic of conversation and invite someone to ask just what it is that makes you, Bionic.
